I am writing this letter on behalf of Benton Fudge.  I first met Benton as a result of him attending a Lexington home show and I had a booth displaying my Nudura insulated concrete form products, approximately 4 years ago. As a designer and builder, he was interested in my building materials concept and I was interested in someone who could design homes for our clients.

From the very beginning, Benton was attentive to our clients needs, talking with them, getting their ideas.  He is an excellent listener. He has drawn numerous house designs, both big and small, complicated and not so complicated, but never differentiating.

From a builders standpoint, you can build what he draws. You can't say that from some e-Book plans or internet plans. I have referred him to many of my ICF builders for their clients, and he has not disappointed them either.  He even did a multiple layout of smaller homes for a local log home company's catalog. He is courteous to our customers, often time redrawing multiple times until the customer finally decides what they want. He has traveled to see the client, sometimes out of state, to discuss the project and review the plot site.

Last but not least, he redrew my personal house plans, when the renown architect from a large architectural firm, could not/would not finish the work. Bigger is often not better. Delivering the product in a timely fashion usually works best. Anything more would probably look like a paid advertisement.  Feel free to call me anytime and I will personally discuss his merits.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to give you my personal recommendation for Benton Fudge of South Central Designs for architectural design and related services.

Benton was recommended to me by Bob Gieser of Holdfast Technologies who is a distributer of Nudura ICF wall systems that I plan to incorporate in our new home. Although I still know several Architects in the Nashville area from being in the commercial construction business for 25 years prior to getting in the Gourmet Sauce business that we have now, I asked Bob if he knew any Architects with ICF experience. He recommended Benton to us so we set up a meeting to meet him. At first I was a little apprehensive since he had not done any projects of the style we wanted but decided to go with him anyway due to the enthusiasm he showed about our project. It wasn’t long until we realized this apprehension was unfounded.

My wife and I have been planning to build a new home on a 13 acre hillside property we purchased in April of 2003. We have purchased many books of house plans and magazines and visited many new open houses to try to come up with a house design we could agree on and both be happy with for the rest of our lives together. Although we both wanted to build an old style new home we didn’t exactly agree on style. She wanted a French Country style home where as I always wanted a more formal European Castle style. We both gave Benton our separate desires and told him to try to come up with a design we would both be happy with. Within a couple of weeks Benton presented us with a design that we both loved and it was even better than either of us had envisioned. His drawings also represented the expertise and detail that I would have only expected from a much older and larger firm.
